The wait is finally over and Cedar Springs Brewing Company announces there grand opening today – November 13th, 2015. The ribbon cutting and “first pour” will take place today at 1:00 p.m.
The new construction building is 8,000 square feet and it features a 150-capacity dining hall with a bar and Euro-pub style bench seating.
The brewery owner, David Ringler, says “the goal is to be a public house in the Cedar Springs community – a place for locals to come after football games.”
Ringler went to Germany in the early 1990’s as an exchange student and homebrewing was only a hobby of his. He enjoyed a volunteer apprenticeship at the Fliegerbrau Brewery in the Munich suburbs. Ringler returned to Grand Rapids from Germany when he was 26 with a desire to open up his own brewery.
Ringler founded the company in March, 2013 and he is openly optimistic about the brewery’s success.
